Ms. Cotto began her legal career as a Maricopa County Deputy Public Defender.  As a defense attorney she handled hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanors to homicides.  Daily court appearances and numerous successful jury trials quickly earned her a reputation as a formidable advocate.

She began practicing family law in 1999 and established her own firm in 2002.  As a family law practitioner, Ms. Cotto represented clients in Divorce, Paternity and Enforcement or Modification proceedings.  She has handled more cases than she can count but never forgets how rewarding the work could be. Estate planning was a natural transition. Her training in psychology, vast litigation experience and years of family law practice uniquely qualify her to provide outstanding legal services. She is passionate about the law and helping people.  She takes the time to explore each client’s needs and goals and explain their options in terms they can understand.

Ms. Cotto is a member of the Arizona State Bar Probate and Trust Law Section, the Maricopa County Bar Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Section and Wealth Counsel. She has served and chaired various Arizona State Bar and Arizona Supreme Court committees. She is a frequent volunteer for the Arizona State Bar and other community legal outreach events.

She is licensed to practice in Arizona State and Federal Court.

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Ms. Cotto is fluent in Spanish.  She enjoys hiking, cooking and traveling.
