Shawna S. Baker concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, business and employment law, probate, and adoption. She honed her skills working for one of Oklahoma’s oldest and largest law firms, as an Assistant Professor of Law in Florida, and most recently, while managing Family Legacy and Wealth Counsel, PLLC (“FLWC”).

At FLWC, Shawna represents Oklahomans from all walks of life and addresses each client’s unique needs to provide them with thoughtful, tailored planning and peace of mind. She also represents numerous corporations with day-to- day legal concerns such as business formations, contracts, dispute resolution, employment matters, collections, etc.

Shawna was awarded an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in New York where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a member of the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law. She also received an LL.M. in Taxation from NYU Law School. She graduated with her J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law With Highest Honors and received many accolades among them being the Martin Fellows Smith Award for student of the year, Order of the Curule Chair, and Order of the Barristers.

Shawna also holds a M.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Tulsa and a B.S. in Biology from John Brown University. Shawna currently serves on the Board of Trustees to Oklahomans for Equality and on the Governing Board of the Tulsa Girls Art School. She has authored a number of articles on estate planning, employment law, and LGBT rights.
