Robyn B. Hopkins (Bridges-Castro) grew up, until the age of seventeen, in the small town of San Juan, Texas; located in the Rio Grande Valley. She is a second generation Mexican-American, fluent in Spanish, and was a first-generation college graduate. Upon leaving the Rio Grande Valley, Robyn never lost her Hispanic roots, as she received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Feminist Studies, with a primary focus on Chicano/a Studies from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. While at Southwestern, Robyn received various awards and recognitions, primarily the Gwen Kennedy Neville Award for Excellence in Anthropology. Robyn then received her Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law where she was part of the American Bar Association Appellate Advocacy Team; President of the Immigration Law Society, OCU Law Moot Court Society, and the Hispanic Law Student Association; an OCU Law Admissions, Part-Time Ambassador, the Student Bar Association Curriculum & Student Issues Committees representative; and a member of the William J. Holloway, Jr, American Inn of Court. While in law school Robyn also interned with the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office where she tried various jury trials and accumulated countless hours in the courtroom.

Robyn is currently involved with Catholic Charities Oklahoma City Archdiocese’s initiative with helping Central American children at the border and she volunteers with the Latino Community Development Agency. Robyn is a member of various organizations, namely the Young Lawyers Division of the Oklahoma Bar Association, OBA Law Day Committee, OBA Diversity Committee, OBA Women in Law Committee, and the Oklahoma County Bar Association. Robyn’s primary area of focus is immigration law with criminal law consequences, specifically focusing on equality and justice for the Hispanic Community in Oklahoma City. Additionally, in every area of the law Robyn focuses on, she strives to stand up for immigration equality and human rights among the LGBT community. She also focuses on estate planning and has volunteered her time with Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma’s “Make a Will Campaign.” When Robyn is not working she enjoys spending time with her spouse, their two children, their dogs, and running.
