Rob Vinson started his legal career in 1987 in the Dallas office of Strasburger & Price, LLP, a large regional law firm with more than 200 attorneys, and offices in Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Mexico City and Washington DC. At Strasburger & Price, Rob gained experience in a variety of practice areas, including corporate and securities, mergers and acquisitions, international transactions, oil and gas transactions adn litigation, business litigation and franchise law. When Rob left the firm in 2001, he was a partner in the firm’s Franchise and Distribution Practice Group.
In 2001, Rob moved to Los Gatos, California (in Silicon Valley). That same year became a member of the California bar, and established his own law practice specializing in franchise law.
In 2004, Rob became a member of the Nevada bar and moved to Incline Village, Nevada, where he continued to practice franchise law.
In 2013, Rob joined the Law Office of E. Alan Tiras, P.C., as of counsel, where he focuses on providing professional legal services to businesses and individuals in the areas of business planning, corporate law, contracts and other transactions, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, intellectual property and estate planning. He also maintains his franchise law practice.
Rob is a 1983 graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. He holds a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1987, where he was in the top 15% of the graduating class and was editor of the law school newspaper while working part-time as a law clerk. Rob is a member of the American Bar Association, ABA Forum on Franchising, State Bar of Texas, California State Bar and State Bar of Nevada. He is AV-rated in Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory, reflecting “very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards.”
Rob is an active member of his local Rotary Club, and a regular volunteer at Incline Elementary School.
