Richard G. Reilly, Jr. received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Political Science in 1977 from Canisius College and his Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law in 1980.
In 1980, he joined Sheldon G. Kall in his practice, and they later formed Kall and Reilly, LLP.
Mr. Reilly has concentrated his practice in Bankruptcy, Matrimonial and Family Law, Collaborative Law, Real Estate, Estate and Taxation.
He is a seasoned and skilled attorney, knowledgeable in all areas of Bankruptcy Law including Chapter 7 and 13 and Adversary Proceedings. He is experienced in developing plans that put his clients in an improved position at the conclusion of their cases.
He has been very successful representing his family law clients. Mr. Reilly is accomplished in all areas of Family Law, including Separation Agreements, Divorce, Custody, Parenting Time, Support, Adoption, Post Judgment matters and Qualified Domestic Relation Orders.
He is able to offer his expertise to his clients as an attorney representing one spouse (including collaboratively where both parties sign an agreement that neither spouse’s lawyer will appear in Court) to reach a mutual agreement of separation.
He is well versed and adept in Real Estate matters and has represented many buyers, sellers and lenders at closing. He is also examining counsel for two title insurance companies.
Mr. Reilly is admitted to practice in the Courts of the State of New York, US District Court – Northern and Western New York and the US Tax Court.
Although based in Syracuse, New York, Kall and Reilly, LLP maintains an office in New York, and represents clients throughout Central New York including Onondaga, Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego, Madison, Jefferson, Oneida, Cortland and Seneca Counties.
Rick is committed to his community, and is a past President of Community Aquatic Program at Onondaga Community College and past Board Member of Jowonio School. For many years he has coached a variety of sports for Special Olympics, and continues to be actively involved. He enjoys distance running, and has completed two marathons to date. He is also an avid hiker and backpacker who has hiked all 46 Adirondack High Peaks with his family.
