Firm Summary

Laurel Scarr-Konel uses her extensive knowledge and experience to achieve the best possible results for her clients. She prides herself on being approachable and always empathetic, as she helps her U.S. and foreign clients navigate the confusing and stressful real estate legal process.

“I always think of myself as if I were the client and try to do what I would want someone to do if our positions were reversed.”

Laurel focuses her practice on clients interested in purchases, sales and leases of properties including single family houses, condominium units, cooperative apartments, and buildings on Long Island and in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. She also offers related services including simple wills, advance directives, business entity formation, basic contracts, and estate probate and administration.

After earning her bachelor’s degree at Georgetown University, Laurel went on to earn an M.B.A. in International Business from Hofstra University and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.

Laurel spent 26 years at the law firm of Grant, Herrmann, Schwartz & Klinger LLP, where she rose from Associate to Partner to Managing Partner. She started her own practice in 2015. She is a member of the NYS Bar Association, Real Estate Section.

Laurel likes to think of herself as a Real Estate Attorney by day and a Chocolate Curator for fun!
