Josh provides public service to the local Shasta County community. He is currently in his second four-year term as an appointee by the Mayor of Redding serving as a commissioner for the Community Services Advisory Commission and has also been a chairperson of that commission. Josh also serves on the board of directors for Pathways to Housing, a non-profit corporation that works to provide assistance to homeless individuals.
