R. Duane Frizell was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in west Texas and southern New Mexico. Mr. Frizell practices in the areas of business, commercial, and real estate litigation; civil appeals; and licensing, estate, and probate litigation. He has practiced in trial and appellate courts in Nevada, Idaho, New Mexico, and Texas, and has been involved in cases with parties from around the globe.
Mr. Frizell earned his bachelor’s with a double major in Chinese and Political Science and his master’s in International and Area Studies with a focus in Asian Studies from Brigham Young University. He graduated from the University of Maryland, School of law with university honors. While in law school, he served as the Executive Articles Editor of the Maryland Law Review. After law school, Mr. Frizell served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Pamela B. Minzner, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Mexico. He has been in private practice since the end of his clerkship.
Mr. Frizell has lectured on ethical issues for attorneys at continuing legal education seminars. He is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, and he currently serves as an arbitrator on the State Bar’s Fee Dispute Committee. He is admitted to practice in the states of Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. Mr. Frizell is a member of the Clark County Bar Association, the Green Valley Rotary Club, and the Nevada Rotary Foundation.”
