Charlie has lived in Reno since 1977.  He graduated from high school here and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada in Reno.  He earned his law degree from Brigham Young University in 1993, and has practiced law in Reno ever since.  Charlie has served as a Special Master and Judge Pro Tem for more than twenty judges throughout Northern Nevada, hearing and deciding thousands of cases for the courts.  Charlie has taught law at his alma mater (UNR) for more than a decade, consistently rated very highly by his students.

Charlie enjoys working with clients to custom tailor estate plans that fit their needs.  One of his mottos is “if you can think it up, I can write it up”.  He knows there are virtually no limits to creativity in estate planning.

Charlie has also helped hundreds of clients with probates, trust administrations, and adult guardianships.  He knows that these cases almost always involve individuals and families in very stressful circumstances where an experienced and genuinely compassionate attorney can very much lighten the load.

When Charlie finishes your case, he remains your go-to attorney for any questions that may arise in the future.  Aside from keeping you advised on your estate plan, whatever other legal issues may arise, Charlie will either give you the advice and help you need, or connect you to the right attorney who can help you best.  Charlie prides himself on how happy his clients are that they chose his firm for their legal needs.

Charlie’s passions are spending time with his family, and fly fishing with his son Drew when they can get away.
