Brent was licensed to practice law in 1991 and began his legal career as an Attorney with the District Counsel’s Office of the Internal Revenue Service, handling Tax Court litigation, Bankruptcy Cases and IRS Collection matters.  Appointed as a Special Assistant to the United States Attorney’s office in 1993, Brent also handled IRS matters in Bankruptcy Court.  Brent left Government service in November of 1995 to enter private practice in New Braunfels.  In 2013, Brent formed Brently W.
