Firm Summary
After a tour of duty with the army in Vietnam, Bill began practicing law.
During his first years of practice, Bill gained comprehensive experience working for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Royal Dutch Shell/Scallop Corporation, and the Brady & Berliner law firm.
Early on, Bill discovered a passion and a talent for litigation. In 1997, he began a sole, general practice as a trial lawyer, specializing in criminal defense, involuntary mental commitment proceedings, divorce, contract disputes, real estate, landlord/tenant conflicts, debt collection and other matters he found to be of frequent concern to senior and incapacitated adults.
A decade later, Bill narrowed his focus to elder law. He is dedicated to ensuring the best quality of life for seniors, their families, and those with special needs through creative planning and effective structuring of estate documents; arranging or providing guardian and conservator services in close association with care managers and a wide range of experts to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Outside of the office, Bill enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren. His hobbies include sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, working on his 1923 Model-T Ford, photography, backpacking, and travel.
