Firm Summary
Aryeh Bondy knows firsthand that the perseverance, passion, and pride invested into building your success can never be fully accounted for with mere calculations of net worth.
Born and raised in New York City, Aryeh attended the public school system there, striving for academic excellence and eventually working a variety of early jobs – including pizza-making and running a canteen at summer camp. Later, during college, he even tried his hand at driving a school bus for a while. Having spent his entire young life enduring the bitter cold NYC winters, when the opportunity to attend law school at Emory University in Atlanta arose, he jumped on it and never looked back. He moved to Georgia in 1981, where he pursued his law degree at Emory, focusing on tax law and estate planning. After graduating in 1984, he decided to make Atlanta his home, and has been here ever since.
Law school completed and the state bar behind him, Aryeh joined Fortune 500 company Siemens Energy & Automations, where he specialized in employee benefit law, also handling general corporate matters. During his time at Siemens, he returned to Emory to further his knowledge by participating in the LLM-Taxation program, sharpening his expertise in estate planning, and delving deeper into corporate law.
After 7 years of honing his skills on the inside, Aryeh decided the time had come to leave the confines of the corporate world behind to start his own practice. Originally focused on Estate Planning and Administration, it soon became evident that an expanded focus including Corporate and Business law was the best way to serve the needs of his clients – many of whom were in fact business owners. The new business branch of the practice involved representing small to mid-sized companies in various transactional matters such as contracts, leases, and shareholder agreements. The last piece to fall into place was the addition of the litigation component, wherein lawsuits adjunct to the other areas of the practice –such as contested wills, shareholder disputes and collections– could be handled as well. This 3 tiered structure transformed the practice into a “soup to nuts” legal shop that provides individuals, business owners, and their families with highly effective protection in a practical and affordable way.
Aryeh takes tremendous pride in being able to provide ‘big law firm services’ at a small practice price. He prefers straight talk over smooth talk, and his clients appreciate the down-to-earth communication style that he uses to demystify sometimes complex legal issues and decisions. When not giving expert counsel, Aryeh can be found spending time with his family, biking, and backpacking. He also enjoys a number of different sports, traveling, woodworking, restoring classic cars, and puttering around the garden.
