Background
Tony worked for the leadership of the Oklahoma State Senate—the first African-American in state history to serve in this capacity and the first to serve three presidents pro tempore of the Oklahoma Senate terms within seven years.

After resigning from the Senate in 2007, he co-founded the law firm of Goza, Washington & Coleman before founding the Coleman Law Firm PLLC in 2012.

Three years later, he became the first African American in state history to win the Clarence Darrow Award in June 2015. Tony Coleman is also the first and only African American to become a member of the prestigious National College for DUI Defense. He is trained in DUI/DWI detection, standardized field sobriety test administration, the Intoxilyzer 3000, 5000, and 8000, and gas chromatography.
