Ms. Saxton, a New Orleans native raised in Los Angeles, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California with a major in Political Science. Before graduating, she interned for the California Attorney General’s Office in Sacramento in the Department of Public Affairs.

After that experience, now certain that she wanted to be an attorney, she enrolled at Whittier College School of Law where she earned an American Jurisprudence Award for excellence in Legal Research and Writing.

She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1988 and is licensed to practice law throughout the state of California. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is affiliated with the Beverly Hills Bar Association.

After her admittance to the California State Bar, Ms. Saxton was a Judge Pro Tem (temporary Judge) for the Los Angeles County Courts, a Pro-Bono (volunteer) Attorney at the Harriet Buhai Family Law Center, appointed council on the Los Angeles Juvenile Delinquency Attorney Panel and received training to become an attorney appointed as minor’s counsel in the Family Law courts.

Her experiences in lending her knowledge, competence, and personalized attention to the end of helping a diverse client base at the Harriet Buhai Family Law Center led her to pursue Family Law as her specialty and accumulate over 20 years of experience in the field. She is well versed in the strategies and tactics used by other attorneys and opposing parties that can frustrate and delay cases, which helps ensure her clients the best possible representation.

Ms. Saxton has received an award of Tribute for Outstanding Work from the Harriet Buhai Family Law Center and further recognition such as a Certificate of Appreciation from the Family Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Superior Court of Los Angeles for her outstanding volunteer work on behalf of Family Law clients.
