A Miami native, Andrew T. Lavin has represented businesses and individuals in complex commercial litigation, probate litigation, real estate litigation, and class-action suit litigation for the past 40 years. 

Nearly every kind of case has come across Lavin’s desk over the years, and while his goal is always to achieve a resolution to a dispute prior to litigation, he has had great success in the courtroom. After a nine-week trial, Lavin won a jury verdict of $5 million in John P. Fountas v. Microcomputer Resources, Inc., and while representing Hialeah Park Racing & Casino he both successfully defended the track’s land ownership and secured a summer jai-alai permit for an affiliate.

Lavin is a member of the Florida Bar, the Southern District of Florida Bar and the United States Supreme Court Bar. He has been recognized on a number of occasions by Florida Super Lawyers magazine and is an AV rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.

Lavin received his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown Law Center in 1978, graduating Magna Cum Laude and was an editor of the Law Review. He graduated with honors from Emory University in 1975. He relishes the opportunity to work alongside his two sons every day.
