Andrew advises clients regarding corporate, and estate planning matters, including the use of sophisticated strategies to transfer wealth among generations in order to minimize taxes and maximize asset protection. Andrew represents and advises corporate clients with regard to daily operations and strategic planning, including negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, leases, sales agreements, shareholder agreements and HR policies, as well as the sale of closely held businesses. Andrew is adept at finding creative and practical solutions for clients in both a business and estate planning context.

Andrew represents both individual and professional fiduciaries in all facets of the administration of trusts and estates. He counsels clients with respect to probate law matters, estate related litigation, income tax planning, estate tax planning (including special needs and Medicaid planning), preparation of fiduciary and estate tax returns, tax audits and appeals before the Internal Revenue Service. Andrew is involved in all aspects of charitable planning from advising clients with respect to charitable giving, including the establishment of charitable remainder and lead trusts to the creation of private foundations, as well as advising nonprofit and for profit corporations on governance and corporate issues.

When requested, Andrew serves as trustee and executor for his clients. With more than 35 years of skilled experience, he has the ability to efficiently communicate with beneficiaries to provide the highest level of fiduciary oversight to ensure that trusts function as intended.

Andrew received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Texas and Wyoming. Andrew has been involved with the Rhode Island Free Clinic as a board member for many years and serves on the boards of a number of private nonprofit foundations, as well as a past board member of Mental Health Services, Inc.
