Biography:
I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. I am proud to say that Baltimore has a legacy of notable contributors such as Johns Hopkins, and Thurgood Marshall. I never overlook this history. There is an expectation to live up to these names when being associated with the city. My parents are first-generation immigrants from Iran. The hard work and sacrifices of my parents moving from county to country resulted in me becoming a Maryland lawyer in 2011. The sacrifice of my parents surpasses any coursework or bar exam that I was ever required to take. In the year 2012, I joined the District of Columbia bar and in 2019, Virginia, and 2022, Pennsylvania.

Throughout my life, I was taught to be committed, and organized. More importantly, to be empathic. Just as important of understanding the facts of a case is understanding the emotions and needs of your clients.

Many individuals contributed to my success. Above all, my father. When my brother and I were children, my father would instill discipline. He would often say “if you accept the responsibility of an assignment, then you must do it completely”. That was important because if a job was left undone or performed incorrectly, the negative consequences could be high or greater for another individual.

The next inspirational figure in my life was Henry Loree McRobie (now deceased). Henry was our family lawyer for many years. When I was 16 years old, Henry represented me in a minor car accident. His charisma and confidence as a lawyer really helped me as his client. It gave me the much-needed strength at the time. I learned to be bold, and brave from Henry. I also learned to be empathic and understanding of each individual’s circumstances. At that time, I was a kid in trouble, and Henry fully understood that. Henry’s influence resulted in me wanting to later become a lawyer. Throughout law school, I aspired to become like Henry. I love my profession because I can help people. The same way someone like Henry helped me. My goal is to make a positive impact to all that I represent. My life’s calling was law, and so I dedicate myself in doing so.
