Firm Summary
The first nearly-eight years of Mr. Winter’s legal career were spent prosecuting felony criminal cases in Phoenix, Arizona, focusing in complex criminal prosecutions, wiretap cases, gang and repeat offender cases, and drug and methamphetamine laboratory cases.
Since that time, Bill has spent his career helping families create powerful, loving, and lasting estate plans; helping business owners, farmers, and ranchers arrange their business affairs in a significant and meaningful way and to plan so that they can leave their businesses in style; and helping families salvage their life savings from the ravages of Medicaid and nursing home costs.
Bill is a popular and vibrant speaker who has taught government officials, employees of financial institutions, CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals, as well as business owners and the public at large in hundreds of meetings, workshops, seminars, and executive briefings since 1995.
Bill is a published author and authority, contributing to the books LEGACY: Plan, Protect and Preserve Your Estate and GENERATIONS: Planning Your Legacy. He was a contributing reviewer and author of an estate planning periodical that was known as Conspectus Current, which later became Cutting Edge Current, an internet estate planning publication. He was a creator of and talent for the majority of Wyoming PBS’s 13-part televised estate planning series entitled LEAVE A LEGACY, including, among others, An Estate Planning Introduction; Trust-Based Planning—What Is It?; Business Exit Planning—Leaving Your Business in Style; and Sophisticated Estate Planning—Planning Techniques of the Rich and Famous.
Mr. Winter is a Christian and a family man who married his college sweetheart and is the proud father of two fine young men. Bill’s passions include theology, politics, baseball, economics, and the law.
