David G. Tobias has been practicing business and commercial law since 1980 in private practice in New York, New York. After leaving a senior position in the litigation department of Rosen & Reade, LLP, which is now part of Dentons, in 1992 David helped found the general practice New York law firm of Saviano, Tobias & Weinberger, P.C., and in 2007 he founded Tobias Law Firm, P. C. (“TLF”). David’s broad experience over four decades covers a wide array of legal areas ranging from providing clients advice on, and litigating over, business transactions and employment matters; cooperative, condominium, construction and real estate issues and transactions; and estates and trusts. David’s litigation experience ranges from the trial level New York state courts through the New York Court of Appeals, as well as the U.S District Courts and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts in New York City, and surrounding Districts, to the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Some of the reported cases in which David has been involved include: TriCounty Construction Corp. vs. Franklin Credit Management Corp., 2011 WL 12472041 (Sup Ct. N.Y.Co.); Stokes vs. Lusker, 2009 WL 612336 (S.D.N.Y.) (with Barry Karson, Esq. for Lusker); Enron Corp. vs. International Finance Corp., 341 B.R. 451 (Bankr.Ct. S.D.N.Y.); NAACP vs. Accusport, Inc., 271 F.Supp.2d 435 (E.D.N.Y); and, O’Neill vs. Atlantic Security Guards, Inc., 250 A.D.2d 493, 671 N.Y.S2d 976 (1st Dept.).
