When Linda S. Braswell first began her career as a registered nurse, working in critical care and emergency room environments, she realized that she couldn’t shake her passion for history—a subject she obtained a minor in while attending the University of Miami’s School of Nursing.

Recognizing how much she loved history, she came to the realization that law is history. Ever since England drafted the Magna Carta in 1215 to diminish the tyrannical rule of King John and bring an end to absolute power in the country, the law has been changing with society as America learns from past mistakes.

Over time, the self-realization fueled Braswell’s interest in learning about her own personal rights and soon she realized she needed professional guidance to truly understand the law and become a qualified attorney. Before earning her Juris Doctorate degree Cume Laude from the St. Thomas University School of Law in Florida, she interned in a practice with personal injury attorneys and continued in that practice area for two years after graduation.

Eventually, referrals started trickling in from victims she helped with personal injury legal issues who also needed advice about family law. By aiding in a variety of family law situations, including alimony, child support, visitation rights and marital agreements, she realized family law was going to be her career.

Soon the Law Offices of Linda S. Braswell, P.A. expanded into other family areas like estate planning and probate law.
