Taylor Broun is originally from Athens, GA. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2005 at the University of Georgia. After college, he attended Charleston School of Law, in Charleston, SC and received his Juris Doctor in 2008. In 2013 he received his LLM degree from Emory University School of Law.

Prior to joining Jones Cork, LLP, Mr. Broun clerked for the Honorable Eugene M. Benton in the Alcovy Judicial Circuit and worked with the law firms King & Spalding, LLP in Atlanta, GA, and Spivey, Pope, Green & Greer, LLC in Macon, GA.

Mr. Broun’s primary focus of his practice is commercial real estate and business transactions. He has represented developers, investors, banks, and various governmental entities in a wide variety of real estate and business matters including but not limited to, the acquisition, financing, construction and sales of various commercial and institutional real estate developments, the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases, the formation of corporations, limited liability companies, and other business partnerships and entities. He also has assisted clients in the sales and acquisitions of businesses and business assets.

Additionally, Mr. Broun has represented, developers, syndicators, and investors in the negotiation of equity partnerships involving the development of new and rehabilitated affordable housing projects, and historic rehabilitation projects located in the states of Georgia and South Carolina that utilize federal and state low income housing tax credits (LIHTC) and historic rehabilitation tax credits (HTC).

Mr. Broun also has experience assisting clients with wills, trust, and estate planning.

Mr. Broun serves as general counsel for Bragg Jam Inc. (2019-Present) and is a member of the Trustee’s Committee of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church (2021-Present). He also enjoys supporting the Historic Macon Foundation, was a member of the 2016 Leadership Macon Class and is a past President of the Macon Area Kappa Alpha Order Alumni Association.

Mr. Broun, and his wife Kim reside in Macon with their daughter where they are both active members of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and in the community. In his free time, Mr. Broun enjoys fly fishing, hunting, playing golf, seeing live music, and attending Georgia football games.
