Prior to opening the Law Firm in 2014, Mr. McCann was a third-generation real estate agent. He has extensive experience handling every facet of a real estate transaction. In additional to owning and operating a boutique law firm, Mr. McCann is General Counsel for a major corporation.
Mr. McCann has been recognized by his peers for his legal knowledge and professionalism. His peers awarded him the inaugural ‘Batten & Gibson Spirit of the Community Award’ for going above and beyond in giving back to the community. Mr. McCann is also a past recipient of the prestigious ‘Young Lawyer of the Year Award’ as voted by members of the Cape May County Bar Association.
In addition to full-time practice, Mr. McCann is an Adjunct Professor at Saint Joseph’s University. In 2018, The University selected him to design and lecture a new course to meet the growing interest of the undergraduates in the field of Law and Economics. Mr. McCann is often serving as a guest speaker at various Realtor Associations and Real Estate Schools, as well as on panels for continued legal education events.
Mr. McCann serves as a Trustee on the Cape May County Bar Association, The Saint Joseph University Law Alumni Chapter, The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization, and a Scholarship Committee at his grade school alma mater. He sits on Condominium Boards and is a delegate for New Jersey Land Title Association. Mr. McCann previously served as a Planning Board Member for the City of Sea Isle City and has served on various Non-Profit Boards as Counsel.
A former collegiate rower, Mr. McCann is an avid runner in pursuit of completing a marathon on all 7 continents (SIX completed, one in each of the following continents: North America, South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and Antartica). At each continent, he raises funds and awareness for local non-profit organizations. The Mayor of Sea Isle City has recognized Mr. McCann’s efforts and presented him the annual Mayor’s Award.
In Summer of 2009, Mr. McCann was a member of the five oarsman crew called, Rock the Boat for Autism. The crew rowed two lifeguard boats 1,500 miles to raise money and awareness for the Autism community. The crew started in Boca Raton, Florida, on June 12, 2009, and rowed to Sea Isle City, New Jersey, landing on the 42nd Street beach on August 1, 2009.
