In 1996, Brian opened his law practice in Burlington shortly after he was admitted to practice law in Vermont. Since then, Brian has concentrated in representing individuals, organizations and businesses in the areas of real estate, land use law, and probate law. Brian has assisted hundreds of Vermont clients in successfully completing their real estate transactions, settling their estate matters and resolving their legal disputes.
In 2009, Brian was acknowledged by the Chittenden County Probate Court for his outstanding pro bono service. Brian currently serves as an Acting Judge in Franklin and Chittenden Counties.
Previously, Brian served on the Development Review Board for the Town of Jericho, Vermont. He was a Trustee of the Lake Champlain Land Trust. He has served as counsel for the Vermont River Conservancy and has provided pro-bono services for the Burlington Community Land Trust. Brian has been an adjunct instructor at the Community College of Vermont, teaching Business Law.
Brian received his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School and a Master’s Degree in Regional Planning from the University of Massachusetts. Brian is also a graduate of St. Michael’s College.
Brian enjoys working on his property in Jericho, skiing, hiking and kayaking, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family.
