Alan G. Bouterie, Jr., a native of St. Bernard Parish, attended High School at Holy Cross, where he graduated with Honors, near the very top of his graduating class. He received an academic scholarship to attend Loyola University of New Orleans, where he graduated, Cum Laude, from the Loyola College of Business Administration, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a focus on Economics. Thereafter, Alan attended Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, and he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2006. While in law school, Alan clerked for the Honorable Manuel A. Fernandez of the 34th Judicial District Court.
Since that time, he has represented individuals, corporations, partnerships, and insurance companies in a wide array of legal disputes. His practice areas include personal injury, divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, bankruptcy, criminal law, contract disputes, successions, wills, real estate transactions, workers compensation claims, employment law, adoptions, and general litigation.
Over the course of his legal career, he has obtained vast civil and criminal trial experience, and has gained a reputation for being honest, experienced and aggressive and always ready to fight for the rights of his clients.
In addition to having extensive trail experience, Mr. Bouterie, Jr is also a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, wherein he completed an intensive professional training program in the art of trial skills.
Alan is a founding partner and currently the managing partner of the Bouterie Law Firm, APLC, where he has worked since 2006. He is the past Vice President of, the 34th Judicial District Court Bar Association and he is currently a Board Member of the St. Bernard Parish Board Association. He is licensed to practice law in all Louisiana District Courts, all Louisiana Appellate Courts, the Louisiana Supreme Court and the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
