My Background

In 1995, I graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a degree in business administration, focusing on finance and economics. Three years later, I graduated from Widener University School of Law. While at Widener, I spent a summer studying international environmental law at the University of Nairobi in Kenya, East Africa. More recently, I graduated from the online psychology program at Ohio University. I am a current member of the Association for Transpersonal Psychology.

My work experience started as a teenager painting houses and learning carpentry while working with my uncles. The Benton Foundry gave me a summer of experience working as a cast iron grinder. Things changed significantly after law school. My first position was with a firm in Williamsport handling family law, personal injury, and criminal defense cases. From there, I began a career in public service, serving in county government as Special Counsel, a Domestic Relations Hearing Officer, an Assistant Public Defender, and an Assistant District Attorney. For a time, I was an instructor in the paralegal program at McCann School of Business in Sunbury. Over the years, I have continued to be involved in private matters in addition to those positions.

This adds up to decades of experience practicing law in the office, in clients’ homes, in institutions,  and in the courtroom. As a trial attorney, I achieved the qualification to handle capital murder cases based upon years of training and significant trial experience.

Who should you call?

When you decide that you need an attorney, you should choose someone who you can trust, who you can understand, and who can understand you. It would be a challenge to find someone with the variety of experience that I have with people who need advice, help, and legal solutions.

My teaching experience has involved adults and kids. My volunteer experience has involved religious institutions and a term on a public school board. My public service has involved elected office and a career in the courtroom. I have worked with those in poverty, and those who have more than they know what to do with. With this history, I am confident that I can work with just about anyone who needs my help.

My Approach

Success for me is knowing that you are getting a benefit.  My work is productive when I am adding value to your organization and your personal future, providing peace of mind, and giving sound advice based on experience and wisdom. I do not want to sell services you don’t need, or spend time on ineffective pursuits.
